Per VI.A.5, this ‘extended warranty’ is subject to the ‘maintenance booklet’ HOWEVER, there is no requirement for you to provide proof that all of this required maintenance was properly/timely performed (i.e., oil changes or anything else). Im truly in a terrible situation and I don’t know what to do? I told SOA to keep their money, they obviously needed it more than I did. SOA said they would only cover 5% of the repairs. I can’t afford a new car while still having to pay for this one and I’ve been told that to repair or replace the engine could cost between $8000 and $10000 dollars. The real problem in all of this is I still owe $27,000 on it and it’s my only form of transportation to and from my job. I’ve owned the vehicle now for 1 year and 4 months and at only 66,000 miles (just over my powertrain warranty expiring) there’s a major rod knock and my car is completely undrivable. ![]() ![]() I’ve had a coolant leak that was never fixed after 3 attempts of taking it back to where I bought it. Since purchasing my Subaru I’ve had to replace sway bar linkage, strut mounts, steering rack. All oil changes were done between 30 miles with tire rotations, alignments when needed and only premium fuel was ever put into it’s tank. I purchased (financed) a used 2017 WRX with 32,000 miles from a major Honda dealership in Washington state. ![]()
